Description

The Atwood Mansion was built in 1893 for Kimball C. Atwood in Oradell NJ. This large shingle style mansion was designed by Frederick Wesley Wentworth, a local New Jersey architect. Atwood was a successful inventor and the head of many large Insurance Companies. The house and grounds were eventually sold to hiram Blauvelt in the 1920's. Blauvelt converted the carriage house into a museum dedicated to art that celebrates nature and animals.

from this perspective it looks even bigger. does anyone still live in this house?
or has the whole mansion been turned into a museum?
